REmoval of redundant tie wraps from lamp posts etc.

Postby Les » 05 Jul 2010 08:46

Following a post by OLDAMN on Reading Talk, please can we draw the attention of the local councillors to the proliferation of redundant tie wraps left on lamp and sign posts around the town and to look into asking the Street Care Teams to do something about removing them. They do cause somethong of a hazard because the tails are nearly always left stiching out and, by murphy's law, most are at someone's eye level. They are also very unsightly. Perhaps it should be made obligatory on those fixing such signs and notices to remove both sign and fixing when they have passed their use by date.
